Aside from the fact that she is a scholar of the subject... read more itself, it was wonderful to listen to her weave together the narratives across the different time periods and explain them in the context of the monuments we were visiting and in the larger context of Delhi itself. The storytelling was really engrossing and kept us completely engaged - time just flew by. It’s a testament to Maryam’s storytelling talent that even after the walk ended, we were still discussing about the minute historical facts and nuances that came up during the narration.

She was also a thorough professional- although we started late due to traffic issues, she adjusted the pace accordingly and made sure we covered the important parts of the walk. 5-stars and I would definitely take this up again and recommend to other guests too.

  I along with my colleagues purposely decided to visit Qutub Minar with Team Delhi By Foot. Though, most of us had earlier visited the place but unaware of the history... read more and the facts that we came to know after our interaction with their Team Member. They really made our day. Mostly all of us had never shown interest in History subject during our schools days but the way they explained, portrayed, and guided us we started building interests. I visited Old Delhi with Mehtab and truly enjoyed the experience, not only because of his knowledge about the history of the neighborhood, but also because of his willingness to answer every one of the million questions I had as we moved around the crowded streets and visited the most important sites. This, to me, is the meaning of a truly customized tour: we talked politics, religion, daily life in Delhi, and everything in between. Mehtab is unlike many tour guides in that he really is curious about the people he's taking around, and is very good at understanding what they want from the experience. The tour lasted 4.5 hours and was the best way to get to know not only the city, but also its people. I highly recommend Delhi by Foot.
